Apple Bans Apps built using forthcoming Flash CS5 translation tool!
Submitted by tigersam on Fri, 2010-04-09 06:43.By now, most of you have probably seen or heard about Apple iPhone SDK 4.0 and a small item in 4.0 Terms of Services, notably 3.3.1:
“Applications that link to Documented APIs through an intermediary translation or compatibility layer or tool are prohibited.”
This is clearly a shot at Adobe's Flash Professional CS5 forthcoming capability that will enable the compiling of a Flex/Flash application into a native iPhone application.
Of course Flex/Flash developers around the world are angered by this announcement.
How will this news effect the CS5 Launch on Monday? Be there and find out!
